Ultrasonic Welding

Ultrasonic welding converts 50/60 Hz current into 15,20,30 or 40 KHz energy by ultrasonic generator. Converted high frequency electrical energy is converted again into mechanical movement of the same frequency by the transducer, then mechanical movement is transmitted to the welding head through a set, which  can change the amplitude. Welding head transfers the received vibrational energy to the workpiece to be welded, then the vibrational energy is converted into heat energy by the way of friction, it will melt the plastic.

Ultrasound can not only be used to weld hard thermoplastic, it can also process fabrics and films.
